The Thomas College of Business's Passport to Professional Success Program (the Passport Program) is a series of skill-based activities designed to enhance your resume and increase your professionalism in the workplace. The Passport Program is a requirement for all incoming students in the College of Business. Completion of this program will make our students more marketable, competitive and successful in their chosen field. Students will gain confidence in and outside the classroom through a variety of activities and events. The Passport to Professional Success is tracked in Canvas and allows students to update their information with ease!

What is the Passport Program?
The program is divided into modules in Canvas, labeled BUS 1001-BUS 1006. Each module provides an overview of topics that will benefit students in their future and current profession.
**BUS 1001-BUS 1006 can be completed concurrently and are not required to be done in any specific order. BUS 1006 is reserved for seniors in their final semester graduating from the university.**

Why do I have to complete the Passport Program?
The UNCP Thomas College of Business wants to make sure you graduate as a well-rounded individual, equipped with the tools to students entering or currently in the workforce. In addition to making sure you gain knowledge in the classroom, we want to make sure you have the soft skills that will differentiate you in the marketplace. UNCP is one of less than 10 schools in the country with a program like this which makes us elite and our students special.

Are online students required to complete all Passport requirements?
Yes, online students are required to complete the program. The program is designed to allow flexibility around your busy schedule. We host on campus as well as virtual events that students can attend. We also encourage you to attend events in your local area. The Passport Agent or Program Director must approve outside events.

Is the Passport Program a graduation reuirement?
Yes, completion of the program is a part of your degree program requirements. Failure to complete the program may delay your graduation and ability to participate in the graduation ceremony. The registrar will complete its final audit at the end of each semester to confer degrees from the Thomas College of Business. Students will be notified directly from the registrar's office.
