The Office of Student Inclusion & Diversity and the Women’s History Month Committee at UNC Pembroke recently announced events for Women’s History Month to be held March 1-31, 2022.
Dr. Megan Ranney, a practicing emergency physician, researcher and nationally recognized voice for innovative public solutions, is next up in the Distinguished Speaker Series at UNC Pembroke.
Dr. Lisa Lewis Schaeffer, former vice chancellor for Student Affairs at UNC Pembroke, has been named an American College Personnel Association Class of 2022 Diamond Honoree.
She will receive her award at the ACPA Annual Convention on March 8 in St. Louis, Missouri.
UNC Pembroke’s on-campus food pantry, the CARE Resource Center, won second place in the NC Collegiate Hunger Challenge, earning a check for $7,000 to support food insecurity initiatives.
The check was presented at the 2022 NC Campus Compact Presidents Forum by Food Lion.
