Levels of Swimming Instruction

American Red Cross Certifications

  • Preschool Aquatics: Level 1, Level 2, Level 3
  • Learn to Swim:
    • Level I - Introduction to Water Skills
    • Level II - Fundamental Aquatic Skills
    • Level III - Stroke Development
    • Level IV - Stroke Improvement
    • Level V - Stroke Refinement
    • Level VI - Swimming and Skill Proficiency
      • Three Options:
        1. Personal Water Safety
        2. Fundamentals of Diving
        3. Fitness Swimmer
  • We will teach American Red Cross WSI 2009 materials and content.

Preschool Aquatics: 3 - 5 yrs.

This program introduces floating on front and back, underwater exploration and human stroke (dog paddle). Water safety will be taught in a fun and positive way. Each class will last 30 minutes, four times per week for two weeks.

Learn to Swim: 6 - 15 yrs.

This program is designed to develop aquatic skills, personal safety, stroke development, water games, and appropriate rescue techniques for this age range. Instructional time for each class is 40 minutes, four times per week for a two-week period.

Adult Swim School:

This adult swim program is designed for beginning to advanced levels. Instructors work with each student according to his/her ability. This will ensure a challenge and provide quality instruction for everyone

Notes:

  • Classes are grouped by age and ability. Classes are Red Cross Certified at the six levels. All groups will be taught at the same time.
  • We reserve the right to balance classes according to size and ability.
