Drawing Supply List

 

 ART  SUPPLIES

           

            Newsprint Pad, no smaller than 18 by 24”

            White Drawing Paper Pad, no smaller than 18 by 24” (Multi-purpose paper for wet or dry media is best. Canon and Strathmore are two options)

            1 each #2B - 4B - 6B- 8B pencils

            1 pencil sharpener

            1 can general purpose fixative( Do not use inside. Extremely Toxic)

            1 each kneaded eraser

            1 each art gum eraser

            1 each pen holder and one medium steel pen point (Crow quill Drawing Pen)

            1 pkg. vine charcoal

            1 piece of compressed soft charcoal ( 2B -4B)

            1 piece black and white conte crayon ( 2B - 4B)

            1 bottle India ink (Waterproof Higgins Ink)

            1 tube Chinese white watercolor or gouache

            1 #10 soft, round brush

            1 # 4 Flat acrylic paint brush

            1 18" x 24" masonite or drawing board (optional)

            1 20” x 26” 1/2” Plywood board (optional)

            1 18" x 24" general use white pad (Canon or Strathmore are 2 options)

            2 sheets midtone colored charcoal paper (Strathmore, earth tones, grays

            1 sheet watercolor paper

            1  8 x 10 or 9 x 12” white wire-bound multi-use paper sketchbook

            matt or exacto knife

            Metal Yard Stick

            Toolbox or other container to carry supplies

            Portfolio to hold your work and to present work for projects.

 

Other suggested papers are: Strathmore 500 Series Bristol, Cason Mi-Teintes(in white and colors), Strathmore 500 Charcoal Paper, Rising Stonehenge and etc. For color work prisma colors, paint, or pastels may be used.

                      

·        Other supplies may be required and will be announced before each assignment.

·        Wherever these supplies are found, they are required for my classes. It is the responsibility of each student to have them when they are needed for class projects.
