Step-by-Step: HOW TO LOG IN TO OWA
Note: Preferred browser is Internet Explorer for full functionality; any browser will work, but some features will not be available.
- Under QUICK LINKS or the link in the left bar, click on Webmail (OWA)
- Office Outlook Web Access window will open.
- If the computer is not used by anyone else in your department, select “This is a private computer.”
- At “Domain\user name:” enter lowercase - uncp\[your username]. Example: uncp\saylor
- Tab to “Password:” enter your current email password
- Click on “Logon”
- If all is well, your will be prompted with a screen asking for you to set preferences for OWA (i.e., screen resolution, English Language, Time Zone). These should be fine unless you have low vision or a screen preference. Click on “OK” to proceed.
- If a message appears that says it cannot login to OWA, try this:
- Open a separate browser window and go to braveweb.uncp.edu.
- In the upper left corner, click on “Change Password.”
- Select “… using your current password.”
- Enter your username as prompted and then current password in the three remaining boxes.
- Click on “Submit,” and close BraveWeb.
- Return to OWA Web page, and try login again.
- You should see the OWA client and hopefully a message or two.
