Academic Scholarships
The UNC Pembroke offers a variety of academic scholarships. Below is a listing of several scholarships and the qualifications for each. The deadline for consideration is March 1st. All students must be admitted to the University and must file a Free Application for Federal Student Aid. A separate application for scholarships is not required. Award determinations for merit scholarships are based on the student’s prior academic qualifications.
Endowed Scholarship
Friends, faculty, alumni, corporations and foundations have provided funds to aid students in the pursuit of academic achievement. A wide range of endowed scholarships and other awards is available, some with specific restrictions. A separate application for scholarships is not required. Award determinations for endowed scholarships are based on the student’s prior academic qualifications and the specific requirements of the scholarship.
University Incentive Scholarship
Awards are available to first-time freshmen who rank in the top of their graduating class in high school and to select transfer students who have an Associate's Degree from a North Carolina Community College. The maximum award varies per year and is renewable semester by semester as long as the recipient meets the academic requirements of the University.
University Scholarships for Native Americans
