• Graduate Education Day with Legislators
  Graduate Poster Session winners Lia Gilleski and Kelly Fenwick, both students in the MPA program, represented UNCP at the Graduate Education Day held in the first floor quads of the legislative complex in Raleigh on May 22. The annual event is part of Graduate Education Week. Gilleski and Fenwish were winners of the March 25 UNCP Graduate Student Poster Research competition.

• $500 Scholarhip Winners
  Congratulations to Melanie Mason (Science Education) and Alicia Graham (Public Administration). Each won a $500 scholarship randomly drawn from those graduate students who registered during the early registration period.

• School of Business Receives Accreditation
  AACSB International (Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business) announced this week that the School of Business and the University of North Carolina at Pembroke have received initial accreditation of the undergraduate and graduate business programs.

• Grad student research is relevant, practical learning
  UNC Pembroke graduate students put their research on display on March 25 at the 2013 Graduate Research Poster Session and Open House.The event attracted more than 50 student research projects. The projects proved instructional on many levels and relevant to professional careers.

• Masters of Science in Nursing. UNCP is proud to announce that the UNC Board of Governors approved the request to establish a Master of Science in Nursing at the University of North Carolina at Pembroke. The first class of students is anticipated to begin in fall 2013. Additional information is forthcoming.

• Counseling Programs Earn Accreditation. UNCP’s Clinical Mental Health Program and the Professional School Counseling Program have earned accreditation from the Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Education Programs. Read more...
