Your task for this assignment is to analyze the personality of Will Hunting in the movie Good Will Hunting. You may use one or more of the personality theories that we have covered either from the book or lecture this semester.

• The first thing you will want to do in your paper is introduce Will to the reader.
  • Give a background of the character, highlighting key events from his life that have shaped his personality. For this part of the paper you should use examples of behaviors, feelings, history, evident in the movie that have shaped his personality.
• Next you will need to use one or more theories (yes you can use multiple theories) to explain his personality. (For example, do you see any classical conditioning, and where is that classical conditioning evident or are their examples you can see that could be explained by critical events that took place during psychosexual development).
  • For each theory that you use, provide a brief explanation of the theory and then apply it to Will’s personality.

Your paper should be no more than 4 pages long (12 point Times New Roman font, double spaced, 1” margins). You do not need to do any outside research for this paper. All analysis material will come from your book or lecture notes.
