SIMULTANEOUS ECHO
7/22/99
I am my sons' father.
But that is not all.
Sometimes I am my father.
I am not like he,
I am he.
Sometimes I am my sons.
I am not reliving my childhood.
I am living their childhoods.
I am I, I am he, I am they.
Sometimes all in the same day.
Sometimes all in the same moment.
We do not share skin, we share being.
His being becomes my being.
Their beings become my being.
Are they me too?
