I am master of my universe,

At least it feels that way.

Sure, I don't get all I want

But the choices are mine each day.

Some say it is God's plan

For me to do this and that.

But, tell me what His plan is.

I can do just the opposite.

Besides, what kind of plan

Has hate, oppression, and greed

As central parts of the drama?

Shouldn't love and beauty lead?

Yet, I am not God, that I know.

'Cause I hunger for Him each day.

And when I walk with His plan

I feel free in every way.

What better plan could there be

Where I can come and go,

And leave God at the center,

Willing to love me so.
