This course provides the theory and
application of security in computer and network environments. Students will
develop the skills necessary to formulate and address the security needs of
enterprise and personal environments. The course covers cryptography,
authentication, secure programming, security in
operating systems, network security, access control, denial-of-service, and
file systems. Course projects will focus on the application of security tools
to real world problems. Credit, 3 semester hours. PREREQ: CSC 2260 and CSC 2850.
