Description
A first course in programming
using concepts of structured programming, object oriented programming and
algorithmic analysis, with an emphasis on applications. Based on the C++
language.
Please note that the use of University computers, as
well as E-mail and Internet communications is for University-related business

C++ Program design, An Introduction
to Programming and Object Oriented Design, 3rd Edition, , WCB, McGraw-Hill, 2002.
Prerequisites:
C or better in CSC 155
Course
Content:

The course will cover most of chapters 1-9 of the textbook,
and other material as time permits.
·
Lectures discussing object oriented development and C++
programming constructs.
·
C++ language programming projects that applies concepts discussed
in lecture.

Exams
and Projects
The final exam is comprehensive.
Other than the final, three 1-hour tests will be given during the class hours.
Several programming projects and homeworks will be assigned. All assignments must
be completed by the due date. Homework assignments are individual
and not group assignments, unless stated otherwise.
Grading
Policy
You are responsible for all material covered in class even if you are absent.. The final grade will be a weighted average of the scores in the tests, homeworks and the final exam.

Attendance will be checked. To get a passing grade in the course you should attend at least 90% of the classes.
