The content of this course includes a discussion of I/O and
interrupt structure, procedure activation. Monitors and kernals. System evaluation with
elementary queuing, modeling, and statistical analysis. Memory management with paging, virtual memory, and multiprocessing.
Process management, semaphores, deadlocks, and schedulers.
By the end of this course the

This course will have homework assignments, midterm exam,
and comprehensive final exam.
You are responsible for all material covered in class even
if you are absent. The final grade will be a weighted average of the scores in
the homework, midterm exam, and final exam. All assignments must be
completed by the due date. Late homework is accepted, but there will be
penalty points deducted. Homework
assignments are individual and not group assignments, unless stated
otherwise.

Attendance will be checked. To get a passing grade in the
course you should attend at least 90% of the classes.
