The purpose of this assignment is to familiarize you with
the library's chemistry holdings. Most chemistry books are located in the
QD section of the library. Furthermore, these are broken down by discipline
as shown below.

Here is the first part of your assignment. Pay a visit to the library! Locate one book (perfarably one that looks intersting to you) from each of the above categories. Record the call number, name, and authors of the book.
Here is the second part of your assignment. Take a walk
over to the computers and pull up BraveCat. This is the library's online
catalog. It is fairly powerful and allows you to search by author, keyword,
subject, or title. You will be doing an author search. Locate the author
assigned to you (see the table below). Record the call number, title, publisher,
and date of publication for all books our libary has by this author. You
may exclude co-authored books; include only those books authored solely
by the assigned author. To which of the above areas do your book(s) correspond?
