King's Pinnacle and Pinnacle Trail |
| This is end of the pinnacle trail. The sign warns of the usual danger associated with heights. There was one person sitting there, apparerently afraid of heights, who refused to climb up afyer hiking all that way. | ![]() |

After a little bit of climbing, there is a large expanse
of relatively flat rock. This is one of the first views |
| Here's another viewo of the same general area as above, this time looking out along the tops of the rocks. | ![]() |

Still another view of those same rocks, this time from the backside. |
| At the top there is a flat ridge of rock that runs for some distance. Some parts are relatively open, like the section shown here, and some are more wooded. | ![]() |

Here is a more wooded section, with windswept pine trees growing out of bare rock. |
| This represents the end of the line - as far as you can go. Note that the smooth rock has given way to boulders. In the distance you can see other, smaller peaks. I am not sure what kidn of tree this is, but it made an attractice photo. | ![]() |

There were quite a few wild blackberries growing there, not yet ripe. |
| Going back down again. Here is a photo of the pinnacle trail, not far from the top. The trail is steepest near the top; notice the bench for people to rest. The woods here are relatively sparse and young. | ![]() |
