Students in the Career Quest Learning Community are assigned to an area on the first floor.
The University's alcohol policy permits students of legal age to possess or consume alcohol only within the confines of their residence hall room. There are many reasons an individual may choose to reside in an alcohol-free environment. These reasons range from personal lifestyle preferences of culture or religious belief to desires related to recovery from personal or family abuse problems. One roommate's reason for choosing an alcohol-free area may be very similar or very different from the others'. Therefore, the first floor is designated as an alcohol-free environment. Residents are required to sign a pledge to refrain from the possession and use of alcohol on the alcohol-free floor. In addition, residents and their guests who have consumed alcohol may not return to this area until a later time.
Wireless Internet available and the hall is fully wired for the Internet, and cable television. A computer lab, a kitchenette, and a multi-purpose room, capable of holding up to 125 persons, study areas on each floor, and a laundry and vending area are outstanding features of this residence hall. A security feature includes a card access system for entrance into the building for currently assigned residents and their accompanied guests. (Room size: double: 10x16; single: 8x12, living room area: 12x16)
All rooms are furnished with twin beds (80" mattresses), desks, desk chair, closets, dressers, and blinds. The single suites are furnished with a sofa, lounge chair, coffee table, and lamp table.
