July 1-11, 2012 (Summer II)

Academics

This course is intended to give students first- hand knowledge of Ireland. With a population of 4.6 million people, Dublin is Ireland’s largest city.

Student will have the opportunity to conduct an intensive study or special interest as it relates to history, politics/economy, religion, food/ music, art/dance/theatre, and education of Ireland. Other areas may be presented for approval. Students will conduct research on a topic prior to departure and share that discussion during daily meetings and provide their research and perspective. In addition, we will explore the impact the Irish emigration had on the society. Students will have an opportunity to explore their Irish heritage, if desired.
