The Museum of the Native American Resource Center at UNC Pembroke is pleased to introduce the2013 Summer Art Show and Sale.
Earth’s Glow by Nettie Amendola
“The Summer Show has been a regular highlight of our museum schedule for many years,” said Dr. Stan Knick, museum curator. “This diverse exhibit highlights artwork from various artists and media. Artists in the exhibit this year also represent several tribes.”
Lumbee Artists featured in this exhibit are: Herman Oxendine, Loretta Oxendine, Linda Brewer, Alceon Jones, Alisha Locklear, Mardella Lowry, Douglas Locklear, Lezlie Woods-Jacobs, Nettie Amendola, Van Wilkins, Jordan McGirt, Austin Mikhail Lowry, Hubert Sampson, Chevron Lowery and Timmie Locklear.
Also included in the exhibit are the works of Dreamweaver, a member of the Haliwa-Saponi Tribe and Alyssa Hinton, a member of the Tuscarora, Saponi, and Osage tribes.
The works included in this exhibit include oil and acrylic painting, mixed media painting, woodcarving, sewing and gourd work and beadwork.
