Dr. Bryan Sales is offering two new horticulture courses for the fall 2021 semester: Greenhouse Management and Tropical Horticulture. Dr. Sales is a research horticulturist and agronomist. His research focuses on the use of organic soil amendments to improve the production of horticultural crops. Dr. Sales has investigated the use of sustainable sources of carbon and soil nutrients such as biochar and nitrogen enriched soil amendments for the establishment and production of Northern Highbush Blueberry. Dr. Sales mentors both graduate and undergraduate students in agricultural research projects. Dr. Sales teaches several courses in the Biology Department including Techniques in Horticulture, Sustainable Agriculture, Soils and Hydrology, General Botany, and Plant Physiology.
Tropical Horticulture will be taught on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 12:30-1:45 PM.
Greenhouse Management lecture will be taught on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:30-10:45 AM, and lab will be taught on Wednesdays from 11:15 AM to 1:05 PM.
