The December 11, 2004, Winter Commencement at The University of North Carolina at Pembroke witnessed 402 receive diplomas.

It was UNCP’s 5th Winter Commencement and the largest. The advent of a mid-year ceremony continues to be popular with students.

UNC Pembroke is a leader in leadership.

No where was this more apparent than at the annual North Carolina Campus Compact Student Conference on Service-Learning where UNCP students led two sessions and helped plan the event, which was attended by about 20 other schools.
