All you pop-punk
lovers get ready for a sound that will have your heads bobbing for
months on end.
The Starting Line, a Pennsylvania-based quartet, is successful with
their first full-length album, “Say It Like You Mean It.”
The 13-track
CD centers around relationships and everything that goes along with
them.Combined with punk beats and captivating lyrics, their songs
are bound to stick in your mind.
With the punk-driven
label Drive Thru Records backing them since 2000, The Starting Line
has toured with their long time favorite bands as well as toured
overseas.
The four fresh-faced
teens are scheduled to play in New Jersey and Pennsylvania at the
end of this month.
Their most popular
song, “The Best of Me” reached the No. 1 position on
MP3.com even before the release of the album and continues to reach
a broader audience.
My favorite
track on the CD, without a doubt, has to be “Decisions, Decisions.”
The emotion in the words just seems to hit me on a personal level
and stays in my mind long after the CD stops spinning.
If you are into bands such as New Found Glory and Finch, I suggest
you put on your “Chuck Taylor’s” and run down
to the nearest record store to grab a copy of The Starting Line’s
“Say It Like You Mean It.”
