WBTW Channel 13 will hold “Treats For Special Kids” on Thursday, Oct. 30 in Florence and on Oct. 31 in Myrtle Beach from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Channel 13 hopes to offer children an enjoyable and safe Halloween with the help of the surrounding community.

LSOP is asking that students volunteer to help with the event at the Florence location.

LSOP Director Melanie Clark said, “Anyone that likes to celebrate Halloween and make it fun and safe for children is invited to participate.”

Students will receive community service hours for volunteering and have the opportunity to dress up in Halloween costumes to enjoy the festivities.

Clark also said that this service project is not a life changing experience, but is beneficial to both children and UNCP students.

To sign up to volunteer and for transportation or other information, call Melanie Clark, UC at 521-6163 or email her at melanie.clark@uncp.edu.
