Talent show coming to GPAC on Sept. 21

UNCP students, campus wide, will be showing off their talents Sept. 21 in GPAC.

The talent show has been going on for more than 15 years and keeps improving every year.

According to Student Activities Assistant Director James Bass, “the talent show is a lot of fun.”
The purpose of the talent show is to highlight the talent that we have on our campus, and to have a great time.

“The Talent Show is one of my favorite events because it really brings out some phenomenal talent,” said Bass. “I think we have students here who are just as talented, if not more talented, than big name stars. We have to show what we’ve got.”

And for those performing in the up coming event, there will be cash prizes involved. The 1st place winner gets $250. Second place gets $150 and third place gets $100.

The talent show has always been very well received. Students come out to see their friends. Sometimes parents and people from the community come out for the show.

An added incentive to attend the show is that it’s free and open to the public.

“We hope to see a lot of students competing, and a lot of students coming out to enjoy!” Bass said.

Due to GPAC’s availability, the talent show is kicking off early in the semester.
