Introduction to the MacBook Pro
This training session will introduce you to the basics of the MacBook and the operating system titled Mac OS X. You can bring your MacBook Pro with you to this workshop.
TaskStream Workshops
Introduction to TaskStreamThis training session will introduce you to the basics of TaskStream and give you an overview of the e-portfolio system. Participants will be given a keycode to set up their faculty account and will learn how to navigate TaskStream.
Creating Rubrics Using TaskStream
This session will guide you through the Rubric Wizard in TaskStream. You must have an active account in order to participate in this training session. Please bring a rubric that you will be using to evaluate student work so that you can upload it into TaskStream. (Pre-req: Introduction to TaskStream)
Designing Directed Response Folios (DRF) in TaskStream
Directed Response Folios (DRF) are the structures used in TaskStream for student work to be submitted and evaluated. Within this process, there are a variety of options that are available. This session will focus on creating a DRF for an assignment in one of your courses. Please bring assignment and assessment information to the session. (Pre-req: Introduction to TaskStream)
Using Taskstream to Evaluate CARE and TCWS
This presentation will provide an overview of how CARE and TCWS are currently being used on TaskStream. Participants will be able to view the folios that have been created, review the rubrics that have been developed to evaluate the component parts, and gain an understanding of how faculty will evaluate each of these folios. You do not need to have a TaskStream account to participate in this session.
Additional Technology Training
Using the Calendar Feature in Outlook
Did you know that you can create multiple calendars and schedule meetings with colleagues using the Calendar Feature in Outlook? This session will walk you through the basics of using the calender, creating multiple calendars, scheduling appointments, and categorizing your appointments.
Introduction to Lesson Builder
Lesson Builder is an internet based program that will help you to create interactive content for your online classes. In this session, you will learn about the key features of Lesson Builder, the interactivity components, and how to upload your file onto Blackboard.
PhotoStory 3 is a free software program by Microsoft that enables you to create a slideshow with your digital pictures, edit your pictures, create your story with original music, add narration, and share them with others. In this session, you will create a simple slideshow - please bring a flash drive with pictures on it if you want to create something of your own to keep.
