I never imagined the beautiful journey that one decision could bring.

The University of North Carolina at Pembroke intrigued me with the many opportunities they offer; moreover, the reasons which highlighted UNC Pembroke as a desirable college to attend included their nursing school’s NCLEX pass rate as well as smaller and more intimate class sizes. Looking back now, I can attest to the nursing program pushing me past any limits I believed I had, enabling my personal and academic growth in ways I did not believe were possible.

I am most thankful for the opportunities given to me while at UNCP.  During my nursing school career, I was acutely injured, which posed a threat to my education.  However, the nursing staff so graciously devoted their time to aiding my completion of course materials and empowered me to overcome my physical hindrances which almost held me back from graduating on time.  Because of their dedication to my academics, I am now equipped not only to succeed in my nursing career, but also to seek out challenges with confidence and an always-positive mindset.

I am so honored to have had the chance to become part of the UNCP nursing family; both the staff and my fellow students have encouraged me and impacted me in ways which will stick with for many years to come. Never could I have imagined the victories and successes that have accompanied me through my college career; for that, I am beyond grateful for the opportunities and encouragement given to me by UNCP’s nursing department.
