ABOUT BRAVETECH

What: The Brave Tech Program is an initiative by the Division of Information Technology (DOIT) to employ students to serve the needs of computer users on campus. Brave Techs diagnose and repair computer systems in offices and student labs, install and troubleshoot software.

When: The students who are selected to be BraveTechs would need to commit to at least 10 hours a week, in minimum of three hour blocks, and be able to lift at least 50lbs. The technicians would not be required to work when school is not in session, but work may be available during school breaks. Trainees are expected to work Monday through Friday.

Where: The training and all work will be at Carter Hall and UNCP campus.

Who: All UNCP students are eligible to apply, regardless of major, but must have some experience troubleshooting PC hardware or software.
