MYRTLE BEACH – The UNC Pembroke track & field teams brought home two event titles for the third-straight day, as the men's team tallied 132 points to take third place, while the women's squad scored 62 points to finish fifth at the Conference Carolinas Outdoor Championships at Doug Shaw Memorial Stadium on Saturday.

The UNC Pembroke track & field teams kept the momentum rolling at the Conference Carolinas Outdoor Championships!

Across the first two days, the Braves claimed four event titles and a new school record:
• Norman Junker – 1st place in men’s 10,000m
• Moureen Kimaiyo – 1st place in women’s 10,000m (back-to-back champion!)
• Cole Thomas – 1st place in men’s pole vault
• Trent Brown – 1st place in men’s decathlon

Katie-Marie Sherlock broke her own school record in the women’s 400m with a time of 56.24 to qualify for Saturday’s final!

The men’s squad heads into the final day in 2nd place with 55 points, while the women sit in 5th place with 20 points.

Championship Saturday starts with field events at 10 a.m. and track events at 11 a.m. 

Let’s finish strong!
