ORGANIZATIONAL OVERVIEW
The purpose of this organization is to identify, develop, and carry out projects designed to address the needs within the rural local community, become actively involved in voluntary social work; to host speakers and to assist one another in developing awareness and skills that can be used upon graduation. Promote fellowship with the community and local agencies. To be committed to the fair and equitable treatment of individuals and groups regardless of race, color, creed, national origin, religion, sex, age, sexual orientation or veteran status. Moreover, the Campus Association of Social Workers is open to people of all races and actively seeks to promote diversity.
Mission: "Promoting social work values within the college and surrounding community."
Selection Process
Eligibility Requirement: Any interested student enrolled at The University of North Carolina at Pembroke may become a member of this Association so long as they meet the Office of Student Involvement and Leaderships requirements as outlined in the latest edition of the Student Organization Handbook.
Qualification: Qualifications for this organization shall consist of undergraduate and graduate students currently enrolled at the University.
