MSW Program FAQ
The mission of the Master of Social Work (MSW) program at the University of North Carolina at Pembroke is to prepare social workers to practice using an advanced generalist model. Program graduates are trained to practice in rural areas and with indigenous communities, including clinical and healthcare settings, using evidence-based practices. The program emphasizes practice within the guidelines of the NASW Code of Ethics. Graduates are prepared from a lens of anti-racism, diversity, equity, and inclusion to actively pursue social, economic, and environmental justice.
