Your internship (or student teaching) will take place in the final semester of your time in the Educator Preparation Program.
Internship Preparation Materials
Please be sure to complete the online Internship Application in the semester prior to your internship. An Internship Application link will be received via email from the Office of Educator Engagement and Student Success. Make sure information is up to date in the Brave Educator Dashboard.
Internship Placement Materials
Due to Internship taking place in the PreK - 12 educational setting, depending on the School District, a variety of background check documents may be needed. It is important to adhere to the required deadlines to ensure a timely placement. The Office of Educator Engagement and Student Success will arrange all internship locations.
Current School Employees: Even if you are employed within the school setting, you are still asked to submit an application.
Visit the Brave Educator Dashboard and navigate to the "Internship" tab to check the request status:
· Blank: A request was not submitted
· Awaiting Background Documents: Our office does not have the required background documents.
· Under Review: Our office has received the request, or approved documents, or are working placement with the district.
· Confirmed: Placement has been confirmed and reach out to the educator that is listed to begin completing hours.
