The UNCP colorguard is part of the "Spirit of the Carolinas" Marching Band and has the same rehearsal schedule. The colorguard does contemporary flag and weapon work for the halftime show, and more traditional routines during pre-game.

New members and any members wishing to spin weapons (rifles, sabres, etc.) must have previous experience in high school colorguard and/or winterguard, and must audition for the staff.
