Announcing a Spectacular Journey to Costa Rica

Dr. Erika Young will be teaching The Natural History of Costa Rica (BIO 3025/5025).  This course can be taken by anyone in any major and has no prerequisites!  Spend roughly 2 weeks exploring Costa Rica’s diverse ecosystems and landscape, including:

  • the cloud forest to view the elusive quetzal
  • excursions to the coast and to the Tarcoles River
  • coffee plantations and organic farms
  • Arenal Volcano National Park and Hot Springs

Along with the extensive travel itinerary, you will be learning about the cultures of the indigenous peoples of Costa Rica. The course is 3 credit hours, and undergraduate or graduate credit is available.
