Get ready to dance and sing along to the timeless hits of ABBA! The world-renowned show, praised as "the closest thing you will ever get to ABBA – the best ABBA show in the world," will open the 2024-25 Givens Performing Arts Center season at UNC Pembroke on September 9 as part of its U.S. Tour.

Mark your calendars for a night of pure nostalgia starting at 7:30 p.m. Ticket prices range from $35 to $45.

Arrival From Sweden – The Music of ABBA is the only show officially endorsed by ABBA. Having captivated audiences in 70 countries and selling out iconic venues like Red Rocks Park in Colorado (where legends like U2, Elvis Presley and The Beatles have performed), this is not just any tribute – it’s an authentic ABBA experience. It is the only group to have been given a previously unreleased ABBA song directly from the band, the song “Just a Notion,” which appeared on ABBA’s 2021 record “Voyage.” 

Get ready to be mesmerized by their immaculate costumes, electrifying stage show and all the classic hits you love: "Mamma Mia," "Dancing Queen," "The Winner Takes It All," "Take a Chance on Me" and many more.

The performance will stop at UNC Pembroke just a few days before playing at Durham Performing Arts Center.

ABBA, formed in 1971 and disbanded in 1982, sold nearly 400 million records and inspired the smash-hit Broadway musical and movie "Mamma Mia." As Sweden’s biggest musical export, they even have a dedicated museum in Stockholm, opened in 2013.
