UNCP faculty in the Department of Sociology & Criminal Justice will appear on National Public Radio Wednesday, May 16, 2018.  Mario Paparozzi, Professor and Chair of the Sociology and Criminal Justice Department, and Judith Paparozzi will share their prison corrections experience with Caroline Devries on the WHQR program CoastLine. With recent attacks against correctional officers, the N.C. Department of Public Safety is re-evaluating its operations.  Mario and Judith Paparozzi have extensive corrections experience and will discuss potential change with their host.

"Judi and I feel very fortunate to have been invited to speak about prison violence and offender rehabilitation issues on National Public Radio," said Professor Paparozzi.  The program will air on  WHQR (91.3, Wilmington; 84.1, Lumberton; 98.9, Myrtle Beach; whqr.org, live stream).
