The World Languages Program hosted a Talent Show on Thursday, March 23 from 2:30-4:30 p.m. in Moore Auditorium. The event was open to all, and it included the opportunity for online students to participate via video submission.
This was the second annual Spanish Talent Show sponsored by the World Languages Program, with plans to continue the event next year. While contestants do not have to perform in Spanish in order to participate, the event is meant to celebrate Spanish culture.
Director of the World Languages Program Dr. Ana Cecilia Lara said the Spanish Talent Show is meant to “motivate students [and] encourage them to perform in another language and embrace their talent in a fun atmosphere.”
The Spanish Talent Show hosted roughly 25 students and community members, providing recognition and awards for contestants who won 1st-3rd place.
