UNC Pembroke's alumni magazine was awarded the Award of Excellence at the North Carolina Public Relations Society of America's (NCPRSA) annual InSpire Awards ceremony.

UNCP Today won the Bronze Award in the magazine category. The annual awards recognize the best public relations campaigns and tactics for the previous year in North Carolina.

The award-winning editorial team consists of Jodi Phelps, Dena Bolles, Courtney Powers, Mark Locklear, Todd Anderson, Eleanor Johnson, Justin Smith, Willis Glassgow, David Hibbard, Michael Litty, Tabitha Cain, James Bass, Dan Kenney and Emily Jones.

This year's submissions were judged entirely independently by the New York Chapter of PRSA, and entries in the bronze and silver award categories were submitted across the state, including work from the leading national and international public relations and marketing firms with local offices.

The Public Relations Society of America is the nation's largest association of public relations professionals and among the world's largest associations of communicators.
