UNC Pembroke students, faculty and staff in the First Americans’ Teacher Education (FATE) and N.C. Teaching Fellows program attended the Ron Clark Academy professional development training on March 22.

The Ron Clark Academy, located in Atlanta, Ga., offers a unique and immersive experience. UNCP students observed classes in session, thus gaining a deeper understanding of our strategies for engaging students, promoting academic excellence, fostering meaningful relationships and creating a climate and culture that promotes success for all. Students also engaged with Ron Clark Academy staff in workshops that provide powerful techniques to implement as students prepare to enter the classroom
