UNCP students donate to Doctors Without Borders organization

Several dozen UNC Pembroke students recently participated in an online experiment study and helped raise nearly $400 for the Doctors Without Border humanitarian organization.

Students took part in the Experiment Economics Laboratory which was organized by School of Business faculty. The research study examines how various factors influence individual’s decision of charitable giving. The goal of the research is to provide empirical data for fundraising professionals. The student participants chose to donate funds to support Médecins Sans Frontières, also known as Doctors Without Borders.

In more than 70 countries, the international organization provides medical humanitarian assistance to save lives and ease the suffering of people in crisis situations.
