The university does not plan to send additional messages about this weather event unless conditions change significantly. Should further updates be necessary, they will be provided through campus email, uncp.edu/weather and UNCP’s social media channels.

As a reminder, due to the forecasted potential for inclement weather, the university will transition to Condition 1—Reduced Operations status at 5 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 19, 2025, and all evening classes beginning after 5 p.m. will transition to online learning.
The university will remain in Condition 1—Reduced Operations status through noon on Thursday, Feb. 20, 2025.
- All Thursday classes before noon are canceled.
- Classes scheduled to begin at 12:30 p.m. and later will proceed as planned.
University officials are actively monitoring the weather and will provide any necessary updates by 10 a.m. on Thursday, or earlier if conditions require.
Students
Students are responsible for staying informed of course attendance requirements and should notify their professor or instructor as soon as possible if they are unable to attend due to weather conditions. Please review your course syllabi for attendance policies and check BraveMail and Canvas regularly for updates from your professors/instructors.
Employees
Under Condition 1, the university remains open. Mandatory employees must report to or remain at work as directed. Non-mandatory employees may leave early, arrive late, or not report to work with timely notice to their supervisor. Leave must be used for any missed work time.
