- Friends of the Library Dr. Raymond J. Rundus Book Scholarship: This fund is established to assist up to four students per year at UNCP, depending upon fund availability. The purpose of this fund is to provide financial assistance with textbooks and/or course related materials.

- Laura Bassi Scholarship: Awards a total of $8,000 three times per year. The award was established by Editing Press in 2018 with the aim of providing editorial assistance to postgraduates and junior academics whose research focuses on neglected topics of study, broadly construed. The scholarships are open to every discipline.
- Megan Cornog Memorial Highway Safety Scholarship: The $1,000 scholarship is open to students who will be working toward a master’s degree at any of the University of North Carolina campuses.
- NAACP Scholarship Program: Scholarships for students pursuing a career in Business, Education, Engineering, Chemistry, Physics or Mathematical Sciences. Membership in NAACP is required for some of these scholarships.

- NC Council of Teachers of Mathematics: For pre-K-12 teachers and who are taking graduate courses in mathematics or mathematics education as part of a graduate program leading to a graduate degree or graduate add-on mathematics licensure.
- NC Space Grant: Now accepting applications from graduate students for scholarships and research fellowships. Students from all STEM majors are encouraged to apply.
- NC Department of Transportation HBCU/MIHE Fellows Scholarship: NCDOT offers students currently enrolled at accredited historically black colleges and universities, as well as minority institutions of higher education in North Carolina, the opportunity to compete each year for the $2,500 scholarship.
- Research Funding: The Dr. Louise M. Berman Fellows Award is open to all graduate students at the master's and doctorate levels to conduct research that will advance the field of education.
- State Employees Association of North Carolina Scholarship Program: Active and associate members, their spouses and their dependent children are eligible to apply.
- SeniorAdvice.com Senior Caregiver Scholarship: $2,000 scholarship to an eligible graduate student who has been a caregiver for a senior friend or relative. One student, who will be attending college or university, will receive $2,000 for tuition and/or books.
- TEACH Grant: The Teacher Education Assistance for College and Higher Education (TEACH) - Program provides grants of up to $4,000 a year to students who are completing or plan to complete coursework needed to begin a career in teaching (would work for UNCP MAT students).
- Teachers Bright Ideas Grants or NCAEE Scholarship: Grants available to teachers through the NC Touchstone Energy Cooperatives Annual scholarship award to honor members who are seeking to expand their sphere of knowledge by pursuing advanced degrees in the field of education.
- Toptal Scholarships for Women: Toptal will award five scholarships to aspiring female leaders in five global regions: Africa, the Americas, Asia, Europe, and Oceania. Each winner will receive $10,000 and a year of weekly one-on-one mentoring by a Toptal expert.
