UNCP Green Zone Training
UNCP Green Zone training is for students, faculty, and staff who wish to learn more about the military-affiliated student experience. The goals are to train members of Brave Nation to know more about the issues and concerns faced by military-affiliated students and to identify individuals who are available to assist this population. Upon completion, participants will be able to lend a sympathetic ear and help student-veterans identify and connect with the appropriate resources.
Attendees will:
- Develop an understanding of military terminology and experience
- Learn about the military-affiliated population at UNCP
- Develop an understanding about the transition from the military to campus
- Identify campus resources that can provide support to military-connected students
Individuals who complete the training will receive a certificate of training, a decal to display identifying them as Green Zone trained, and supplemental materials they can reference after the training. Registration links for the Fall 2023 training dates are listed below.

In Fall 2024 and Spring 2024 there will be four (4) virtual Green Zone training opportunities during each semester. Participants only need to complete one session to be Green Zone certified. Registration dates will be posted soon.
