Alpha Chi National College Honor Society

For over 100 years, the Alpha Chi National College Honor Society has been recognizing exceptional student scholars and uniting them around one goal—channeling creativity and curiosity into scholarship that serves the greater good. The name Alpha Chi comes from the first letters of the Greek words ἀλήθεια (Truth) and χαρακτήρ (Character), and the society aims to promote both of those values among its more than half-a-million members worldwide.

UNCP’s North Carolina Kappa chapter of Alpha Chi was founded in 1975 and has welcomed more than 50 classes of inductees over the past half-century. Our student members regularly participate in the annual Alpha Chi National Convention held each spring and have been recognized for their outstanding work through multiple awards and citations from the national office.

For more information, please contact our current Alpha Chi NC Kappa chapter President, Caitlin Smith (cas074@bravemail.uncp.edu).
