Advancement Services supports the operations of University Advancement by receipting gifts to the university, maintaining the alumni and donor database, conducting donor research and assisting campus-wide university departments.
Gift Processing

Responsible for receipting, depositing, recording and acknowledging gifts.
Gift types include:
- Credit card transactions
- Bank drafts
- Payroll deductions
- Publicly traded and closely held stock
- Gifts-in-kind, including tangible personal property and real property
- Matching gifts
- Memorial gifts
North Carolina law requires university departments to deposit gifts of checks or cash daily when they equal or exceed $250 or weekly if under $250. Checks and cash should be delivered in person or mailed to the Office of Advancement in Pine Cottage.
