The Center for Student Success is home to the Peer Academic Leaders (PALs). PALs serve all first-year first-generation students in their transition to UNCP by matching them with a trained Peer Academic Leader. The program is developed to enhance knowledge of campus resources, foster a stronger sense of belonging and cultivate a peer support system that leads to student success.
YearONE provides an inclusive peer mentor community that enhances student success through curricular and co-curricular programs and resources that increase retention of first-generation braves.
