Does Summer Bridge cover the cost of orientation? Do I still have to attend Orientation?
No. Summer Bridge does not cover or waive the orientation fee. You are required to attend an orientation session in May or June BEFORE Summer Bridge. You can register for orientation using the button below.

Do I need to apply for Summer Bridge?
Yes. If you wish to participate please apply online. Our priority deadline is April 15, 2024. You should submit this application before you attend an orientation.

Do I have to live on-campus?
No. Summer Bridge is designed for students living in the surround areas and is open to students that can commute to campus for the program each day. There is an highly encouraged living component to this program and on-campus housing is not covered by the summer bridge program.
Students that wish to live on-campus while attending UNCP in the fall/summer II should complete their housing application using the button below. Summer Bridge participants will need to commute to campus if they do not live on-campus.

Will I earn college credit for the courses that I am taking?
Yes. Students will earn 3 credit hours per course for the summer II, for a total of 6 credit hours by the end of the summer. These courses and grades are part of your permanent transcript and are the beginning of your UNCP grade point average.

Does Bridge cost anything?
Currently Summer Bridge will cover the cost of tuition for summer II during the program.
