PRIFYSGOL BANGOR UNIVERSTY, WALES
Bangor University is located in the picturesque county of Gwynedd, situated on the coast of North Wales. With an academic population twice that of UNCP and a vibrant student culture, Bangor offers an enriching UK study experience. You will start your term in September. After a period of adjustment common to all exchange programs, you will enjoy a relaxed study environment that will allow you ample time to explore Wales, the UK, and perhaps even the rest of Europe.
Bangor’s academic environment is much like UNCP’s in that it promotes a great deal of professor-student interaction. Seminar classes are very common. As an international student, you will formally register later than regular Bangor students, so make sure that you authorize at least double the amount of courses you intend to take in the UK!

Bangor has a wonderful student environment. As an international student, you are allowed to freely join as many student societies as you like. Bangor’s mountaineering society, the UMWC, is particularly engaging. The club offers frequent hikes in the nearby Snowdonia Mountains, as well as weekly pub socials. If you desire to participate in athletics, don’t hesitate to explore in the university’s Athletics Union.
Be sure to tour the many nearby landmarks and tourist attractions in North Wales, an area of the UK with a fabulous cultural heritage.
