UPDATED: 1/21/25 at 9:45 a.m. UNCP officials met this morning to assess conditions and updates from the National Weather Service and have determined the university will operate on a normal schedule through 5:15 p.m. today and then transition to a Condition 1—Reduced Operations status through noon, Wednesday, Jan. 22. About

Aaron Cole is a lecturer in the ETWL department, and he regularly teaches Composition I and II. Professor Cole is a life-long resident of North Carolina, and he has lived primarily in the Western region of the state during his education. His personal interests are extremely diverse, ranging from reading literary theory and writing literature reviews to collecting video games and listening to hip hop. He earned a BS in Education, a BA in English, and an MA in English with a concentration in literature at Western Carolina University. Throughout his studies, Professor Cole developed a teaching philosophy that focuses on inclusion, discussion, and growth, which he continues to use as the foundation for his courses at UNCP. In addition to pedagogy, Professor Cole's scholarly interests are broad, but they include popular culture, postcolonial theory, cultural and identity theory, and African and African American literature.
