Dr. Ali Jamei serves as an Assistant Professor of Marketing at the University of North Carolina at Pembroke, holding a Ph.D. in Marketing from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee Lubar College of Business. His academic journey began with B.S. and M.S. degrees in Industrial Engineering from Ferdowsi University of Mashhad, Iran. Before starting his Ph.D. program, he gained valuable industry experience working for a multinational food company (Solico Group) as B2B sales manager.

Dr. Jamei shares knowledge in courses including Principles of Marketing, International Marketing, Marketing Strategy, and Marketing Planning & Strategy. As a quantitative marketing researcher, his focus lies in digital marketing, social media, advertising, and unstructured data analytics, particularly in textual and image analysis. His current research explores the impact of image content on engagement, employing Machine Learning and Natural Language Processing Algorithms to extract and categorize image content.

Dr. Jamei has presented his findings at esteemed Marketing conferences like Theory and Practice in Marketing (Atlanta-2022) and Marketing Science (Miami-2023). Beyond academia, he finds joy in soccer, both as a player and observer, and enjoys hiking during his leisure time.
