Dr. Gary Anderson is an Associate Professor in the Department of Political Science and Public Administration at the University of North Carolina Pembroke, where he also serves as the department’s MPA Director.  He teaches the MPA program’s core courses in leadership administration and organizational behavior in addition to electives such as community organization and development, conflict analysis and resolution, and program evaluation. Dr. Anderson's research interests include community development, citizen participation, and public-sector management, with the latter focused on city-county administrators and managers and their professional relationships with elected officials.
