Kalem Graham

About
Kalem Graham, originally from Los Angeles, California, grew up in Winchester, Virginia. He attended Virginia State University for his undergraduate degree and graduated in 2009 with a B.A. in Music. From there, he attended Radford University for his Master’s and graduated with a M.A. in Music in 2014. He is currently working on his Doctorate in Music Education from the University of Georgia.
Mr. Graham has served as Director of Bands at J.P. King Middle School and Franklin High School in Franklin, VA (2010-2012) as well as at James B. Dudley High School in Greensboro, NC (2018-2019). He has also served as Assistant Director of Bands at Langston University in Langston, Oklahoma (2014-2018) and North Carolina Central University in Durham, North Carolina (2019-2022).
Mr. Graham is a member of Kappa Kappa Psi National Honorary Band Fraternity, Tau Beta Sigma National Honorary Band Sorority, Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia of America, Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, National Association of Music Education, and the College Band Director’s National Association. He resides in North Carolina with his wife, Ariadnie and daughter, Ava.
